Mark and Melissa have two of the most beautiful smiles we have ever seen. Their faces were beaming on their wedding and it is shows in their pictures too. Not even the rain and thunder could keep them from experiencing the joy of that day. Carolyn and I had picked out several beautiful locations for the bride and groom portraits, but the rain caused us to move to our backup plan which ended up being the most beautiful place to photograph Mark and Melissa. These portraits are some of our favorite to do, as we get the chance to photograph the newlyweds with that incredible glow on their faces. These images turned out as true art, beautiful images that show their love and affection for one another.
The rain came and went throughout the night but gave us a break in time to get a beautiful portrait in front of the Alegheny River and again later on for a short burst of fireworks and a row of sparklers. Melissa spent much of her time preparing for the wedding, writing out the individual menu and place setting cards, using body parts as the table themes. As the different tables were being called out I remember hearing some interesting names that got a good laugh as the guests waited for their turn to be served. The reception was a blast. DJ Rich Stein kept a great mix going and the dance floor was never empty. The wedding even briefly attracted a couple wedding crashers from the local restaurant. All in all we had so much fun with Mark and Melissa’s families and drove home excited to look through the pictures.
Thank you Mark and Melissa for choosing us to photograph your special day, we hope we surpassed your highest expectations.
