Photographing Brittney and Peter was about as relaxed an engagement session as it gets. They were truly present to one another and enjoyed their time together which is exactly the type of experience I hope every couple has when I create photographs of them. Brittney and Peter have known each other since the 6th grade! She tells the story best:
“We attended school together in Barnegat, NJ from the time we were 12 until we graduated high school. During the end of our junior year of high school, Pete and I were good friends. I asked him for dating advice about another guy, and after that dating experience didn’t go well, he felt horrible about his bad advice. He took me out to dinner and a movie to make up for it, and not until halfway through the movie did I even realize it was a date. We were already good friends, so it didn’t occur to me that this evening would be any different, (although I had a serious crush on him, so I hoped that it was). He kissed me that night, and as unbelievable as it sounds, even at that age, I knew I would never kiss anyone else. That was June 7, 2006, and we’ve been together ever since.”
