Not knowing the exact time or date he would propose, Jason was prepared. He had spoken to Emily’s parents at Thanksgiving, asking permission to marry their daughter, and he had bought the ring in the weeks following. Everything was set in place, just waiting for the perfect moment. About a month later Emily and Jason were visiting family for Christmas and decided to go out to a fancy dinner to finish off their stay in DC. Jason tucked the ring into his pocket, hoping for an opportunity to propose. After dinner the two took a walk through the Botanic Gardens. Finding a small quiet spot, Jason decided it was the right time, he took the ring out of his pocket and asked Emily to marry him.
Emily and Jason’s wedding was a sight to behold. It was a blustery, and wet kind of day but not even the cloudy weather could take away the beautiful scenery of the Willowwood Arboretum. They’re happiness and optimism throughout the day was undeniable. Here are some special moments captured throughout their day.
