There are many cogs in the wheel that is Paul Francis Photography. If you have ever been to a wedding I have photographed you have likely also met either Jason, Amanda, Alyssa or Rachel. These are the people that help me provide the experience I want each couple to have on their wedding day. I am grateful for their hard work, constant preparedness, and great senses of humor which always bring a smile to my face on busy days. Every once in awhile we capture these goofy, candid moments as we take test shots to check our lighting and we like to save them to share for your enjoyment. Here is a look at the behind the scenes from 2016:
I try to show a preview or two to couples during portraits whenever possible, especially when they brave 15 degree weather.
My beautiful and talented wife Carolyn has stepped back from second shooting weddings as we are expecting our third child in early 2016, but she still got a few weddings in during 2015.
Ironic, but I feel a little awkward when my picture is being taken. You can definitely see that throughout the pictures here.
Jason makes friends everywhere he goes.
Carolyn! Again! To her credit, she always lets me know when she is stepping across a shot, I just like to take a picture when she does.
Always trying to make sure even the smallest in the bridal party are engaged and having fun.
Rachel provides plenty of material for these behind the scene posts.
Ring shots!!
Surprising Krista and Andrew with a same day mini wedding album.
I pretty much see the world through the lens of a camera, even when I don’t have a camera in my hands.
This is how you get photographs that feel like you are reliving being on the dance floor. Long arms and quick reactions.
Two things to know about Jason, he always dresses to impress, and he isn’t afraid to go or lay anywhere to get the right shot.
Holding a wedding dress like this is harder than it looks, they weigh more than you think!
Um, what?
Three Paul Francis Photography brides at one wedding!
Don’t ask. I think the heat was getting to me.
Ah Bermuda, we will meet again. A BIG thanks to Katherine and Billy for having me there to photograph their wedding.
As one of my Architecture professors once drilled into us in college, its all about the details!! Same is true with photography. Here I am making sure the ribbon is sitting correctly.
I don’t dance much, usually only for my wife’s sake. I couldn’t say no to Katherine and Billy when they pulled me onto the dancefloor.
I’ve gotten pretty good at putting these on. Here is Katie’s dad before his daughter’s wedding.
Mosquito net! Or a beautiful veil to frame a beautiful moment.
As my high school math teacher Tom Appert used to say, just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean you aren’t being followed! I see you Jason.
Lighting good? Check!
Surprising another couple with a same day album.
