Ashley and Brian were on their way to a friend’s birthday party when Brian surprised her by getting down on one knee and proposing. That was just the beginning of the night! After she said yes, they walked down the street further where they would see their families and have a wonderful party celebrating their engagement.
Later Ashley told Brian that she loved everything about the proposal but just wished they had pictures of it. What Ashley didn’t know is that Brian had secretly asked a photographer take pictures of it and was waiting until the morning of their wedding to give her the album while she was her room preparing for the wedding. Tears came to her eyes when Ashley was flipping through the pages of the album. Even though they had a seen each other before their ceremony, Brian looked like he was just seeing his bride for the first time as Ashley walked down the isle. It was as if he was falling in love with her all over again with jut one look. I feel incredibly honored to have captured these special moments from Ashley and Brian’s wedding day and wish them the best of luck in the years to come!

I had a wonderful time shooting this autumn engagement session with Lisa and Jay! Here’s a preview of their photos.
When I was photographing Dominique and Jared’s wedding back in August, Katie came up to me to introduce herself as a soon-to-be bride who had recently reached out to me about photographing her wedding. Unfortunately I was unavailable and after chatting with her about her wedding I couldn’t help but double check the date because she was such a fan and so nice. She also was a little disappointed with how her engagement pictures came out so I told her even though I wasn’t available to photograph her wedding, that I was going to schedule an engagement session with her and Mike so she could hopefully have some pictures she would appreciate as well as an experience that was more positive than she had with the other photographer.
Needless to say, Katie and Mike were an absolute joy to photograph and the experience left me even more disappointed that I wasn’t able to photograph their wedding for them, but I am grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know them a little. They are so perfect for one another and they truly had a joy just being with one another, something I enjoyed capturing. Congratulations on your engagement Katie and Mike!!!
