One photo my wife, Carolyn, wishes we had taken on our wedding day was a shot of her veil blowing in the wind so it’s a picture that we always try to capture. Here are some of our favorite veil shots from 2014!!

When engagement celebrations are winding down the wedding planning is commencing there are numerous options to consider for when a Bride and Groom will first see each other on their wedding day. For some that special moment is before they even walk down the aisle. It involves a man waiting with his back turned and a smile on his face knowing that when he turns around he’ll see his bride in a white gown looking as beautiful as ever. Together they have the time to share a quiet moment, a tear, a memory, and prepare for the best moment of their lives.
A first look often will help those with a tight wedding schedule allowing to get the couples portraits done while the light is bright and beautiful. This relieves the couple of the pressure of getting wedding party portraits, couples portraits, and family portraits done with in the hours between the wedding and reception. We’ve found the first look to be a blessing and a joy. Witness the excitement on the couple’s faces as they see each other for the first time. Here are some of our favorite first looks from 2014.
Sometimes a bride even chooses to do a first look with her father. This is the first time Rachel’s father saw her on her wedding day!
Stephanie and Corey had driven miles upon miles across the country when they arrived at Hill Air Force base in Ogden, UT. Upon a recommendation, they decided upon traveling to Antelope Island, an isolated island in the Great Salt Lake. As they drove through out the island, with their gas gauge running low, Corey decided to stop and seek out a scenic location to watch the sunset from. As they watched the golden sunlight fall behind the mountains, Corey suggested that there was one more thing that would make this moment better. Before Stephanie knew what was happening he was down on one knee asking her to marry him!
Stephanie and Corey had such a lively and joyful atmosphere to their wedding. I thoroughly enjoyed capturing their special moments on such a beautiful day!

Meredith and Ryan were engaged during the Christmas season last year. Ryan had left work at the hospital early and he rushed home to create a Christmas themed scavenger hunt for Meredith. After finding chocolates, wine, flowers and music, she came across a small ring box. That was when Ryan, kneeling on one knee, asked Meredith to marry him!
Meredith and Ryan braved the January winter chill to create some beautiful photos on their wedding day! Here are some of our favorite moments from the day!
