Casey first laid eyes on Priscilla at a mutual friend’s party. He spotted her as soon as he walked into the party and found a way to sit next to Priscilla and talk to her. Priscilla knew he was someone special because they clicked more quickly than she had with anyone else before. Later when Casey asked her out for their first date, he told his brother Tyler that he was going out with a girl that was way out of his league. They have been inseparable ever since. They are best friends. Even their family and friends knew that their love was here to stay, and now they are officially Mr. & Mrs.! Congratulations Priscilla and Casey, it was an honor to photograph your wedding!

Casey and his groomsmen were hanging out at the Danfords Hotel & Marina in Port Jefferson, NY where we photographed them before the wedding.
…and every one of them was looking quite handsome in those fabulous suits.
Priscilla, her family, and her bridesmaids were gathered at her parents’ home where they made their final preparations.
Dusti and her amazing crew from Fire Monkey Hair Design did a fabulous job with Priscilla and the girls’ hairstyles.
The Kocher’s adorable pups were even in on the fun..
Priscilla, you are a beautiful bride.
Seriously, stunning!
If you are thinking that you recognize some of the bridesmaids it is probably because we photographed Emily’s wedding just a few weeks earlier.
Priscilla’s bridesmaids were all so beautiful in the lovely blush pink dresses.
Priscilla and Casey provided their guests with lots of little gifts to personalize their day.
Officially Mr. & Mrs. Sterk!
After the ceremony we headed to the Old Field Club‘s Private Beach in East Setauket, NY.
While the bridal party made their way back to the venue, Priscilla and Casey enjoyed some quiet time alone as we photographed them as husband and wife.
Back at the Old Field Club Priscilla’s wedding planner, Maria and her assistant, Carissa of Paladin Events had made all the final details come together perfectly.
They shared their first dance together in front of their family and friends while dancing to Stand by Me.
And then they surprised us all when the DJ from Tommy’s Tunes Entertainment switched up the music and they busted out some awesome dance moves!
After the speeches and toasts, we snuck outside for a few minutes to catch some photos of the new Mr. & Mrs. under the archway as the sun was setting.
Priscilla and Casey made their exit for the evening lit by sparklers!

-We love marriage just as much as we love weddings. Take a moment to prepare not just for the wedding, but for the marriage –
This Friday night we were not planning on having a date night. But when our appointment for the evening was cancelled, we scrambled to find a babysitter and made it happen. After having a busy week knowing that there would be another busy week ahead, we felt the need to reconnect.
As we waited for our meal to arrive we tried something new. We asked ourselves two questions and shared the answers:
1. What is one thing about you that I appreciate?
2. What is one thing about our life together that I appreciate?
We shared our answers. Even more came to mind while listening to each other and we shared those too. It was so nice. It was nice that we were able to refocus and remember the blessings that we have in each other and as a couple. And It is always fun to hear your spouse say nice things about you too! It was beautiful. We have asked each other question #1 before, but question #2 was a new spin on it. Question #2 caused us not just to think of each of us as individuals, but as a couple. To count our blessings not just in the material things that we share but the way that we are together and who we are together. I do not know what inspired us to ask those questions, but I am glad that we did and we certainly will again.

P.S. A big thank you to Paul’s sister Jeanine who took the photograph above for us while away on our family vacation, and for being our last minute babysitter!
